Dr. Hope Luster

Dr. Hope Luster, Educational Consultant, holds a Doctor of Education Degree and is a certified school teacher for the State of Texas. She is an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University and University of St. Thomas. Dr. Luster is passionate about working with school communities and is an advocate for teachers and families. Dr. Luster has been in education since 1997 and has consulted with teachers across the country for many years. Dr. Luster was a National Consultant with Consistency Management and Cooperative Discipline under the leadership of Dr. H. Jerome Freiberg. Dr. Luster has developed many programs to increase the capacity of teachers and families. New Teacher Institute has been developed for teachers to help build relationships with students and families. During the experience, teachers learned how to use instructional strategies to keep the interest of students. Parent University is the premier program Dr. Luster developed to improve parental engagement in schools. Parent University's concept is currently being implemented across the school district. Dr. Luster is mother to a diverse group of students serving as their foster parent for more than 20 years. She is married and has a daughter. Dr. Luster loves singing and traveling around the world.
