About the event

This virtual session will address the importance of partnerships between home and school. The participants will explore strategies that can help families establish to address their health and wellness during an infectious disease outbreak. The participants will be provided with exercises and activities families can utilize for health and wellness. Finally, techniques will be described for families to use to address trauma within a household.

During this training, successful participants will: •    Understand Home Environment vs. Learning Environment •    Explain the concept of the Dual- Capacity Framework •    Learn the importance of Partnerships to Supporting Families during a crisis •    Learn how to engage families during the Pandemic effectively

Target Audience:​

The target audience is elementary through high school educators interested in promoting a positive partnership with families to ensure academic success for students during the pandemic.
